SARA LEE INTRODUCES INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR IN-STORE

Showcases New Line of Holiday Pies, Dessert Bars Direct for In-Store Bakeries; Beverage Solutions, “Grab-and-Go” Products for Retail Foodservice

ANAHEIM, Calif. (June 2, 2007) – Leveraging its expertise in the retail food and beverage and foodservice segments, Sara Lee is introducing In-Store Solutions, which includes direct sales to in-store bakeries and retail foodservice outlets, at the 2007 International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association (IDDBA) show. The Sara Lee booth (#2071) will feature products and solutions to provide customers with greater efficiencies and help them respond to consumer trends such as convenience and health and wellness.

Sara Lee offers quality pies in on-trend varieties including its signature Hi Pies, No Sugar Added Fruit Pies, Flavor Fusion, Meringue and Open-Face varieties in sizes to meet every need. Its 2007 Holiday Pie Program features six new flavors: Apple Cranberry Hi Pie, Caramel Apple Nut Hi Pie, Country Apple Hi Pie with maple crust, Fruits of the Forest Hi Pie, Wild Berry Blast Hi Pie with lemon crust and Nuts about Fudge pie with chocolate crust.

In addition to these new pies, Sara Lee dessert bars create new options for in-store bakeries by providing upscale, traditional brownie and snack offerings, grab and go single serve desserts and building blocks for signature desserts. The bars, available in brownie, fruit and cheesecake varieties, offer "pastry chef quality" eye appeal, intricate decorations, indulgent toppings and thaw and serve convenience.
